Lisa Psyhojos is a Reading Specialist (M.A.) and Certified Dyslexia Therapist. She received her masters at Kean University and her Dyslexia Therapist certification at Fairleigh Dickinson University. She is also dually certified as an elementary and special education teacher. In her 20+ years experience, she has primarily served as a resource room teacher working with students who are identified as learning disabled, dyslexic, communication impaired, cognitively impaired, or are health impaired. She also tutors privately after school and during the summer. While she has taught all subject areas, her primary focus is reading and written language, with intense focus in the areas of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, spelling, and written expression. Mrs. Psyhojos specializes in identifying students’ strengths and weaknesses and matching targeted learning strategies and methods with tailored motivational materials to maximize mastery and success. She is a member of the International Dyslexia Association and the International Literacy Association. She attends many conferences and workshops relevant to her career while continuing graduate studies at FDU.
