Dragonfly Forest is an overnight summer camp for children with sickle cell disease, hemophilia, persistent asthma, autism, or 22q chromosome deletion. Traditional Camp serves kids age 7-14 Camp is held at YMCA Camp Speers in the Poconos Programs include high and low ropes course, lake swimming, archery, horses, tie dye, boating, fishing, rock wall, and much more! Journaling program allows all campers to take home a documented account that they’ve worked on all week with their counselors and friends detailing all the fun they had! Campers learn self advocacy and self care in regards to their varying diagnoses Camp tuition starting at $200-$300 with scholarships available Explorers is another program we offer to teach independence and life skills to teens and young adults Explorer Camp serves teens age 12-25 Camp is held at YMCA Camp Speers in the Poconos (1st time this year!) Takes place during Session 1, July 13-18 In this program, teens alternate between life skills workshops (cooking, cleaning, laundry, self advocacy, teamwork, professionalism) and typical camp activities (high and low ropes course, lake swimming, archery, horses, tie dye, etc) We have 10 spots left on the female side and a short waitlist on the male side Voluntary selection of Tiered Tuition options with additional financial aid available
